Man, don't you get tired of all the "Kumbaya" peace songs? All the idiots singing about how if we just held hands and loved each other, the bad guys would give up? This is different. I DO love good American patriotic songs. The tones on those guitars are sweet! very good build from intro into the chorus. I found myself turning up the volume again and again. I love 30 rounds of justice in the magazine line. Excellent vocals too. Awesome lyrics. Yes, indeed, this is a rousing song, the kind of Americana for lovers of Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. Great work.

I had to revisit your song because I heard it in the charts all last week and I wanted to tell you why Hugh didn’t play your song on his show. Perry, your vocal performance exemplifies the all too typical hillbilly american accent that we've all grown to loathe; it offends your audience; but you wouldn’t know that. Your song is wholesome tripe. The brutal military references are categorically atrocious and woefully overstated. Please, sing something a bit more original and less offensive. Your song is beyond a flop; it is utterly distasteful and barbaric; Clint Eastwood or otherwise.

Newguy1 is a dope! I notice that the only song he likes is that Super Hero song. Hmmm. This song is about TRUE super heroes, our magnificent military; the real deal. "They Walk the walk, talk the talk, they don't stop!"

I am a conservative. I am proud of our men and women in the armed forces. I even appreciate the courage and strength required to put your work on this site, exposing it to criticism. Half of the reviews are dedicated to trashing one reviewer who dared to be honest! And before someone tries to disqualify ME because I haven't thrown my own set of sub-standard tracks on the site, I have 63000 songs in my collection: every genre and sub-genre possible, except "BAD". I am a critic. Perry, like many on this website, has a genuine set of pipes. His voice is aurally pleasing. But the artificial twang, the country-pop affect, the straight-faced anthemic red-faced rebellion against popular culture is, in itself, a popular gimmick. I am a red neck. I grew up on farms. I wore cowboy hats and boots. But I can't relate to this brand of costumed interpretation of what my American heritage is.

Cmelazzo, you're going to learn the difference between "funny" and "ignorant”. Your joking reviews, while juvenile, are sometimes actually funny... I even got a chuckle out of all the “sounds like” tags someone put on this song. So when you say “it’s a poor song”... I don’t respond because I know you’re just joking around and you simply make no sense. You know what else doesn't make sense? Insulting Taylor. Taylor is my son-in-law and while his grammar may not be up to your standards he is actually a pretty smart guy. Your ignorance, disguised as condescending humor, is displayed in the fact that you insult people you don’t know. For instance, did you know that Taylor’s “carnie parents” who “managed to pop out a kid with the motor skills needed to operate a keyboard” were killed in a car wreck when he was just a toddler?

Reviewed By CarlaFaye at 2008-11-24 09:43:26

Cmelazzo continued: It seems that, in an effort to avoid an awkward moment, a wise person wouldn’t make fun of people they don’t know (Proverbs 10:19). Taylor is a tough kid and was probably not offended by your ignorance; but I was. . I don’t care if you don’t like this song. I don’t care if you don’t like me. I don’t care if you don’t like Taylor. Keep up the good humor but please try to avoid such grand displays of foolishness if only for the sake of keeping amaze.fm a reputable site for musicians and their fans. ***This is the first and last time I will respond to your posts and I ask my more enthusiastic fans to engage only in positive comments (Proverbs 20:22) when posting on this site (That means you too Taylor!).***
